The Enchanted Forest

Scenario

Among the foliage of the Enchanted Forest, gentle Elfin songs and enchanting arcane scents caress those who pass through it. In the sylvan darkness lie magical secrets and ancient passages that lead to the most diverse and remote regions of Narrantis.

“Mystraphis”, an entity as unknown as it is powerful, wanders silently in the forest; wild creatures obey his orders, and from the woods depart hidden in all directions, extending his austere gaze over all of Narrantis.

The ancient power of the Forest appears manifest and divine in the deafening silence that descends on anyone who goes too far in chaos and din.

The frail mind of hostile creatures cannot help but bend to the imperishable and magical charm of the Enchantment, summoned by the Seer themselves in a legendary past.

The Sylvan Duchies

The imperishable Elfin race has lived for centuries in legendary cities built on trees, grown thanks to the “Song”: the ability to interact with the spell making the trees grow a little faster.

This ability of the fey elves allows them to live in homes within large oak or redwood trees grown in strategic areas of the woods. The height allows them undisputed dominion and control over the surrounding environment; intruders are targeted by showers of darts thrown from their tree towers.

It is tradition that at the top of the tallest tree in these forest cities, there is a shrine dedicated to Mystraphis, the very embodiment of the Forest’s Enchantment and their only True King.

Examples of popular names are:

The Hidden Cities

Concealed within the clearings that grow on the borders of Narrantis lies a hidden world, stretching its secrets beneath the forest.

These dark places, whose entrance is barely illuminated by the warm elusive lights of fireflies, hide secret accesses in some corners, protected by the silence and illusion of the Enchanted Forest.

These sites overflowing with magic are home to communities of wizard-druids, who often even invent their own secret codes, collect knowledge and choose the most sacred and ancient places in the region for their outposts in order to venerate and study them.

It is not uncommon for these cities to have some connection with the Tieflings of the Craters or Arkaia and the other library cities of Narrantis and just like these others they cover their faces with wooden masks.

Examples of popular names are:
male: Luirlan, Tanithil, Tassarion, Anlyth, Durothil

The Tree Towns

The Enchantment’s ability to make trees grow to dizzying heights is exploited by the Elfin, who inhabit the tallest and most majestic trees ever seen on Narrantis.

Some of these trees, redwoods with magical bark as hard as steel, are dug up and made fortress-cities.

The highest branches caress the sky far above the darkness of the forest, where the Elfin patrol in defense from the Asaernes, their natural enemies.

The roots are long and robust, and grow into the most accessible depths of the earth.
