After the Ironveil was built, bartering was one of the main ways for the people of Narrantis to do business.
Years of war and famine rendered the ancient dwarven coins, the Runmarks, useless.
Runmarks fell into disuse, also because the dwarves who survived the fall of Grukkmun lost the use of runes and therefore the art of minting new ones.
The techniques of metallurgy on Narrantis became an ancient echo of those of the blacksmiths who forged these ancient coins in lost citadels deep beneath the ground.
In the sixth century after the Ironveil, however, the people of Narrantis gradually awakened, finding themselves more ambitious and aware than their fathers, and the ancient runic coins finally returned to the forefront of trade.
To create a stand to sell an item (even one with lore), make sure you have it in your inventory. Then look directly at a slab and type:
/shop create
A window will appear, where you can change the number of items sold and the price. You can also see the shop from the customer’s perspective.
The renewed interest in ancient runes made coins more widespread, and there are many who dust off old cellars and old rooms of their grandparents and find some nest egg of Copper Runmarks long abandoned as old junk and forgotten.
By typing /namemc and voting our server, once per account, you can claim 64 Copper Runmarks for one of your characters.
It is said that the origin of these mysterious runic coins were the Seers themselves, the original deities of Narrantis who involved the dwarves in its construction, offering them Golden Runmarks in exchange.
The Ancient Dwarves took up the art of coins, copying it to produce Silver Runmarks and Copper Runmarks of smaller size, through the use of runes, to aid in their trades.
Using the following crafting recipes you will be able to split coins or join them into larger coins naturally.
Whether by the hand of the ancient Seers or by those dwarves smiths themselves, these Runmarks can be joined or split into smaller coins naturally, by grouping them or by applying sufficient pressure to the larger coins: a Golden Runmark will split into 8 Silver Runmarks and a Silver Runmark will easily break down into 8 Copper Runmarks.
Runmarks are now universally accepted and used to purchase goods of all kinds.
As small token of recognition for their effort, staff members get a monthly compensation in Runmark for performed work. The quantity of this compensation is dependent on many factors and is determined by the Direction.
